Where Learning Meets Play

Liberty Kids was founded in 2017 by Saida Zakrzewski, a Registered Early Childhood Educator and resident of Liberty Village. She is an elected Board member of The Liberty Residents Association, and advocate for children and families in Liberty Village. Living and working in Liberty Village for over a decade, Saida recognized the need for quality childcare programs. Her mission is community based and encompasses her love and extensive knowledge of early child hood education and community.

 

Liberty Kids is a play-based childcare centre, that is designed to provide a positive and holistic framework to support our children and families. Our Centre is an innovative space, where learning and play meet to bring high quality and flexible childcare.

 

Our learning environment promotes belonging, engagement, expression, and well-being. Through our play-based program, children thrive in choosing activities based on their interests, and caregivers support them in expanding on those interests to develop social and cognitive skills.

 

Our holistic approach to learning focuses on a child as a whole and their total development to achieve their full potential and for them to feel confident and fully prepared for the next stages of their lives.

 

At Liberty Kids our small caregiver to child ratio allows for individualized attention, so we are able to focus on a child’s individual needs and build on the strengths and interests of each child to help establish a solid foundation where they can develop lifelong essential skills.

 

Liberty Kids acknowledges the importance of family dynamics and the role they play in a child’s life. At Liberty Kids, it is a high priority for caregivers to get to know a child and their families as a whole, and a part of this is communication on a daily basis, in person and on our mobile app. Our mobile app provides updates for parents and includes pictures, meals eaten, nap times, diaper changes, daily interests and activities, as well as a messaging portal to keep parents and caregivers lines of communication open throughout the day.
